The future of country is female!
This has been pretty evident for a few years now, but ever since emo cowgirl Megan Moroney dropped her single Hair Salon from her EP Pistol Made Of Roses and the subsequent single Tennessee Orange from her debut album, the writing has been on the wall, and only those looking through naysayer-specs can’t see it. But once country’s sizzling new superstar takes the stage and opens her mouth to sing, those specs are instantly smashed to smithereens.
Megan Moroney is coming hot off the glittery heels of her Am I Okay? tour, and has just announced her biggest, most ambitious endeavour yet - a mammoth arena tour in support of her third studio album Cloud 9, set to be released in February 2026. The Cloud 9 Tour will see the country-pop songstress bringing her unique flair, incredible stage presence, back to back hits, and slick concerts to 43 cities, and is slated to kick off at the end of May 2026 in Columbus, Ohio, criss-crossing the nation before wrapping up in mid-August 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee. After the North American leg of the fast selling out tour, she will continue the trek on European shores until early October 2026. Special guests for The Cloud 9 Tour will be announced soon.
If it’s all the hits - from Tennessee Orange and I’m Not Pretty to Sad Songs For Sad People and No Caller ID, from Man on the Moon and 28th of June to Girl in the Mirror and Indifferent - you were after, consider it done. If it’s heaps of singalongs, vulnerability-meets-sass, top production value, and a modern approach with just enough old-school country vibes you’ve wanted, you’ve got it. Megan Moroney sings loudly, passionately, and tirelessly - and if you thought her recordings were good, wait until you’ve seen her perform live!
